Florence
Utilities requires a security deposit for each account. When
an account is closed, the deposit is credited toward the final
bill, and any credit balance is refunded to the customer.
In lieu of a
deposit, residential customers may submit a letter of credit
from the customer's most recent utility provider. The letter
of credit must be for service that lasted at least twelve
consecutive months, and the previous service must have been
within the past twelve months.
If a
residential customer has had an excellent payment record for
twelve continuous months, the deposit may be refunded. Refund
requests must be made in writing.
